(VALLEY CENTER, CA) March 15, 2010 – The Native American Finance Officers Association (NAFOA) recently named Valley View Casino's Jennifer Bryant as the organization's tribal gaming facility "Chief Financial Officer of the Year" in its 2010 Financial Leadership Awards. This honor is awarded by NAFOA to recognize innovative thinking in developing the financial plans of a tribe, great leadership and success in implementing ideas for the overall betterment of a tribe. The awards will be presented at a luncheon reception on March 17th during NAFOA's "Next Decade Finance Conference" in New Orleans.

Bryant was nominated for the award by Leilani Marquiss, Valley View Casino's director of Finance. In addition to Bryant's uncompromising integrity, exceptional leadership and effective risk management, Marquiss also cited Bryant's many accomplishments as CFO as substantiation for her nomination, including Bryant's participation in the acquisition of $35 million in financing for Valley View Casino's hotel project on behalf of the San Pasqual Casino Development Group Inc. (SPCDGI), the San Pasqual Band of Indians' tribal corporation which oversees the tribe's gaming operations. As the Secretary/Treasurer of SPCDGI, Bryant was at the forefront of the effort to be the first tribal entity in the country to take advantage of President Obama's Stimulus Plan and the Build America Bonds program resulting in a 35% interest payment rebate.

"This is a tremendously well deserved honor," said Bruce Howard, general manager of Valley View Casino. "We are so proud of Jennifer's recognition as NAFOA's CFO of the Year. Her commitment to our entire team and dedication to our company's success are why we continue to garner support from so many financial institutions, and have been able to achieve such positive growth during this challenging financial climate."

"On behalf of the San Pasqual Casino Development Group and the San Pasqual Tribe, we congratulate Jennifer on this wonderful achievement," said Joe Navarro, president/CEO of SPCDGI. "Her continuous efforts play a critical role in the overall growth and development of our tribe's endeavors."

Bryant has over 18 years of finance experience. Before joining the Valley View Casino team in 2007, she served for five years as the CFO at Viejas Enterprises. Bryant has also worked for Reuters America and held the position of European financial manager and controller for the Walt Disney Company's European film distribution division. She received her CPA license in 1994, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy from Villanova University and an MBA from the University of Melbourne, Australia.

"I am honored by this recognition," said Bryant. "It is thanks to the hard work and dedication of my amazing finance department and the rest of the wonderful team at Valley View Casino that allows me to receive this award. I thank NAFOA for this wonderful award."
