(Valley Center, CA) - June 29, 2010 - If you think building a hotel out of concrete and steel is a difficult undertaking, try building one using materials that melt! That's exactly what Valley View Casino Executive Pastry Chef Daniel Sampson did when he decided to construct a model of the casino's hotel out of chocolate and sugar.

The magnificent creation, which stands over four feet tall, five and half feet long and almost four feet wide, took Chef Daniel and his talented team over 100 hours to construct. The impressive structure was made using 132 pounds of white chocolate and 16 pounds of cocoa butter, compete with windows and detailing made out of poured sugar and tempered chocolate. The chocolate hotel is currently on display inside Valley View Casino's award-winning buffet where it will remain through the casino's hotel opening on November 19th.

"We are always having fun here at Valley View Casino and looking for new ways to dazzle our guests," said Chef Daniel. "We thought a chocolate hotel would give our guests a sweet peek into what our actual hotel looks like before it opens in November!"
